At the age of 15, Nicole started working as a part-time assistant at a busy salon in the Beaches. At 17, Nicole began her apprenticeship at a growing studio, where she learned the importance of maintaining strong customer relationships. By the time she had finished college, Nicole was managing the salon in addition to working on the floor colouring, cutting, perming, and styling. On top of the management position, Nicole was given the responsibility of training the new apprentices.
In 2001, Nicole was approached by a former co-worker (who specialized in aesthetics) and asked to assist in opening and managing a salon. By the time Nicole left, the business was running smoothly with 3 employees and a growing clientele.
Nicole also had the opportunity of working at Notre Dame High School for a semester, teaching cosmetology to grade 10 and 11 students. Nicole was in charge of two classes, in which she educated students on the basics of hairstyling, hygiene, bacteriology, and different body types.
In 2003, Nicole started working for a salon in the beaches. After 5 years at this salon, Nicole had built up a strong, loyal clientele base. Nicole brings a wealth of expertise to Manzer Hair.
During her 21 years of experience, Nicole has taken many courses including; Schwarzkopf advanced colouring, colour correction, the Law of colour, Technical highlights and creative techniques; Martin Parsons up-do and cutting courses; Aveda Front line training, Age of reconstruction perms, Cutting and styling courses, Goldwell advanced cutting and technical highlights course, AG London calling cutting course, and product knowledge; Image Consultation classes; Toni & Guy classic cuts; Vidal Sassoon ABC cutting techniques. Nicole was also an educator for Joico, going into different salons and teaching stylists about colour and techniques. She believes education is the most important part of being a great stylist.
Jessica discovered her passion for hair at an early age, beginning with cutting/styling her dolls hair. As a preteen, she started styling and cutting her mom’s hair as well as other family members.
After many years working customer service she decided to further her education and skill in hair, she attended Marca College which she graduated in 2014.
Upon graduating from hair school, she started her apprenticeship at Manzer Hair. Over the years Jess has continued her education by attending cutting and colouring classes whenever possible. Jessica is always eager to learn new cutting techniques and colour techniques. She loves doing cut and blow dry’s, applying hair colour, and using her natural artistry.
With over 10 years of customer service under her belt, she excels at listening to her clients in order to give them their desired looks as well as a very calm, soothing demeanour. Her drive to succeed in her career not only for herself but her son to show that, you can be a parent and have a successful career.
Alyssa first realized her passion for hairstyling in grade eleven, utilizing her lunch breaks to colour and style her friends’ hair. After a period of studying graphic design at George Brown college, Alyssa decided to pursue her passion for hairstyling as a career. In 2012, Alyssa attended Marvel Beauty School. Upon graduation, she began working as a full-time stylist at a small boutique salon in Ajax.
Alyssa worked as a senior stylist in two other locations in the Durham region for 6 years, gaining her license within that time. She decided to move to East York in the summer of 2018, and it was the charm of Manzer Hair Studio that immediately

Sage is our magician in training, her passion for hair is undeniable. Sage grew up in small town Huntsville, as a teenager she enjoyed experimenting with friends and families hair. She always had a love for the arts and decided to explore it as a post-secondary subject. At 17 Sage attended Sheridan College for ceramics and then continuing on to Georgian College for general arts, excelling at 3D art and graphic design. Sage knew she wanted to have a creative career but something just didn’t feel right. Trying to find herself, she moved out to Vancouver to be inspired about life explore this beautiful country. Two years later, Sage moved back to Ontario and started hair school at Avola College. She surprised herself with a renewed passion for braiding and playing with colours. Finally feeling she was in the perfect career to meld her creativity in arts, the love of talking to people, and making people feel great about themselves. Sage started her career at a salon in Yorkville, she found it wasn’t the right fit for her. In her search to find the right environment to thrive and learn, Sage found Manzer Hair Studio.
